an appeal for empathy

Just as the work day was about to end, my friend shared via Facebook a very interesting video about the human race's fundamental connections and genetic impulsions toward empathetic behavior. I won't try and summarize the points it makes, but it is enlightening and creatively produced. While I'm not sure how to interpret it's seemingly positive outlook on the emergence of religion as a means of association (not to mention Twitter and YouTube), I can get behind it's view on selflessness versus aggression as a means of sustaining our civilization.
